Zeus's Workshop
I took a walk on the beach right after a heavy rain, and passed by this cement structure. The rust was leeching through the concrete, and the white paint was all but gone. I flipped the image on its head, giving the sand the appearance of a dark, foreboding sky. If Zeus had a workshop, I imagine this is what it would look like.
Europan Night
Scientists are fascinated with the possibility of life on Europa, one of Jupiter's moons. Europa appears to be covered in ice, and below that, a liquid ocean, thawed by the immense gravitational pull of its mother planet. Aging safety glass at the Techatticup Mine near Nelson Nevada provided the elements of this vision of what a night on Europa might look like.
Night View from the Hab
I loved, loved, loved the movie, The Martian (the book was great, too). This is my recreation of what he saw after the sun set and and darkness enveloped him.

Alien Craft Comes in for a Landing
Aliens crop up in my work from time to time, so it's no surprise that I saw an alien landing craft coming in for a landing on the side panel of a truck at Rick's Ranch, near Campo, CA.
Galactic Collisions
After many light years, this scene finally arrived at the Jacumba Rail Yard.
A Glimpse of the Void
Life on Europa
Sometime in the 2020's, NASA plans to launch a probe to go to Jupiter's moon, Europa, to see if there are signs of life there. This is my version of what they might find. This is from the side of a rail car at the Orange Empire Railway Museum.
Stepping into the Unknown
An image encapsulating the fear we have when we try new things or enter a new stage of life. From the side of a rail car at the Jacumba Rail Yard, 1 mile from the US-Mexico border.
Star Factory
If you've ever seen those images from Hubble of the giant pillars in space where millions of stars are being created, you know where I was coming from with this one. Another one from Rick's Ranch, near Campo, CA.

Moonrise
A good sand pattern on a round rock made for a great moonrise on the beach.
